Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Profile data you provide: name, email, phone, current company, role, city, country, skills, short bio.
• Activity data: jobs you apply to, stories you submit, surveys you respond to, tickets you raise.
• Operational data: login times, IP addresses (hashed), browser type — used for security and product analytics.

2. How we use it

• To match you with relevant job postings and people in the network.
• To send transactional email (invites, password resets, application updates).
• To send newsletters and event invites when you have opted in (see job preferences).
• To produce aggregated, de-identified analytics for the alumni programme.

3. Your rights

• Access & portability. Download everything we hold about you from your profile.
• Correction. Edit any field on your profile at any time.
• Erasure. Delete your account from the same profile page. Profile data is scrubbed within seconds; survey responses and job applications are anonymised but retained for audit.
• Restriction. Toggle visibility flags to hide company, location, or skills from the directory.
• Withdrawal of consent. Turn off newsletter and recruiter contact toggles in job preferences.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

• The deploying organisation's recruiters and alumni team (the data owner).
• Email infrastructure providers (Amazon SES) — solely to deliver mail we send.
• Auditors or regulators if compelled by law.

5. Retention

Profile records are retained while the account is active. Deleted accounts are tombstoned for 30 days before final scrubbing. Anonymised survey and analytics data is retained indefinitely for trend reporting. Login attempt logs are kept for 90 days for security review.
